The world is at the fingertips of any person with an internet connection…and some people just won’t shut up. No matter what you are looking for online, someone seems to have a blog about it. From fishing to health to underwater basket weaving, someone, somewhere has an opinion to share. With that mentality, this blog post will be about blogs themselves.

A blog about blogs seems redundant, but there are a lot of people who have no idea how to set one up. Blogs are a great avenue for sharing information, expressing an opinion or simply whining to whoever stumbles upon you. Two good ways to start a blog are using a platform such as Blogger or using Drupal.

Blogger is a blog publishing system which helps a person create, maintain and share a blog page. With the power of Google behind them, this site has hundreds of thousands of blog pages. To start a blog, a person only needs a Google account, which is free, and something to talk about. Blogger, and similar sites, host a person's or company's blog page. Though it is a free service, "blogger" will always be in the URL. Blogger allows users to be as customized and private as they want. So if you want to have an intimate family blog or a loud platform to scream your opinion to anyone who will listen, Blogger has you covered.

Along with all of the other benefits Drupal offers a company, it allows users to host a blog on their own website. After installing Drupal and activating the blog function, creating a blog is easy. Simply by clicking on the “create content” button and scrolling down to “blog entry”, a person can create a user friendly blog post.

Drupal is about to introduce a system simililar to Blogger, but with a lot more functions. The system is called Drupal Gardens and it combines the power of Drupal with the ease of use of Blogger. Drupal Gardens will host websites and blog pages, giving users the resources needed to make their web presence more effective.

Blogs are filling up cyber space. Whether about a company, a person or why the Colts aren’t 15-0, a blog is whatever you want it to be. Using Blogger or Drupal, creating and maintaining a blog page is hassle free. So on that note, why aren’t the Colts 15-0…did you watch that game? Come on now!
