jQuery Scroll Bars

                    jScrollPane to save the day!

Recently we had a client request the control of how the scrollbars display in the content of their website. At first, remembering back in some old school styling days, I thought we could just use CSS to control it. After that I figured there would be some jQuery that could do the trick. What I found was that this feature is more complicated than I first expected. Read more

The Dangling Carrots of HTML5 & CSS3

The tempting future of the web

A lot of neat and exciting things are happening in the world of the web. With the advancement of both HTML 5 and CSS 3, the way we experience the web will soon be changing dramatically. Some argue that HTML 5 will mean the downfall of Flash. It is already being used on mobile devices to allow the viewing of videos and audio players. Despite these advancements, one major browser is a constant hold up. I'll let you guess which one that is!Read more

Coming up on June 27-28, there will be a Drupal Camp in Chicago. We have always enjoyed making the short trip to Chicago to interact with fellow Drupalers.

This year, I have submitted a session about Revitalizing Local User Groups. I will be presenting what I have learned here in Indianapolis and try to help our community leaders to come up with better plans, more events, and just become more involved over all.Read more

CSS Shorthand

                    For cleaner and shorter code

When creating style sheets, it is easy for the code in the style sheets to get out of hand. One way to increase load times is to shorten the number of lines in your CSS. Some do it simply in the format of their CSS, by conforming the layout of the brackets and limiting CSS comments. In addition to some format changes, I also like to implement CSS Shorthand.

DrupalCon San Francisco featured three full days of sessions from the best and brightest in the Drupal community and Silicon Valley luminaries. There was also a Core Developer Summit, a Drupal Sprint and BOF Day, and professional Drupal training sessions the weekend before. The traditional Code Sprint happened the day after the conference.

San Francisco was a world-class city full of wonderful cuisine and culture. As home to Silicon Valley, it is one of the most technologically vibrant areas in the world.Read more

Creating a business strategy

If you don't know where you are going, you can't know where you are at

I can picture it now: A lovely wedding in an outside garden, the bride radiate in a white dress and a groom smiling ear from ear as he gazes at his stunning bride. The preacher, struck by the passion that these two people have for one another, looks at the man and asks if he will take his love and keep her for life. The groom, choking back tears, says from the bottom of his heart, “Ahhhh, we’ll see what happens.”Read more

Web Easy Media is a Drupal shop, plain and simple. We create customized websites using Drupal as our Content Management System (CMS). When searching for a company to create your website, there are a lot of options out there.

In the highly competitive market place for website development, it’s important to stand out. The CMS a website company uses will have a large impact on the quality of the websites they build, how quickly they can build them and the overall costs of each one.Read more

Cleaning Up Your Site

                    No harsh chemicals needed

Spring is finally in the air and with it comes the ever popular "spring cleaning" advertisements. With as much emphasis as companies put on this annual tradition, one would think that we all just live in our own filth throughout winter. One cleaner, whose multi-purpose formula works great in the bathroom and in the garage, displays before and after shots of bathrooms that apparently have not been cleaned for about 15 years.Read more

Building a foundation

and maybe even a fence for it

Believe it or not, I am a homeowner. Yes, I make the typical amount any unpaid intern does, but due to a good budget and two trips to Iraq, I was financially stable enough to buy a house four years ago and saved enough money to keep it during these slow times. Typical to any homeowner, I have a TO DO list that keeps gathering dust on the corner of my kitchen counter. Number one on the list; fix patio fence.Read more
